The essential elements of a TRIC pipebursting system shown below include the pulling assembly, the hydraulic power-pack, the bursting head assembly, and the cable. The X30 pulling assembly—comprised of the resistance plate, the pulley base, and the puller—has undergone numerous improvements in the years since the TRIC lateral bursting system was first introduced. So too has the power-pack, the latest and greatest example being the HC14 unit, which is the culmination of many years and countless refinements of this critical piece of equipment. 4” and 6” head assemblies include the TRIC-Lock model shown (which attaches to a plain end of DR17 or DR11 HDPE pipe) or standard model (with fuse-on PE cap). Also shown is the 3”- 4” pre-burster, highly recommended when upsizing 3” to 4” lines, and useful for 4” to 6” jobs as well.
